From the sweet and good natured eldest daughter Jane, down to the coquettish and petulant Lydia the whole spectrum of women's behaviour is examined in minute detail with Austen's delicate yet intense observation. Wedding Fayre Success
A record turn out for both wedding couples and exhibitors at Burton Court's Wedding Fayre.
National Wedding Recognition
A recent wedding will have national recognition when it is featured in the Wedding Ideas magazine in their 'Real theme inspiration page' wedding spread. Amy and Dan's wedding was full of intricate touches and an attention to detail that was second to none. The delicious high tea was inspired by visiting an upmarket Tea Salon in San Francisco. Wanting to create something similar for their own wedding we created a high tea as a really ritzy occasion with tea sandwiches, scone and cakes with homemade jams and all washed down with lashings of delicious tea and Prosecco Rose. To the surprise and delight of Amy and Dan when they were first viewed it was explained that Queen Anne visited Burton Court in 1937 when she also had tea in the Great Hall with the Lady of the Manor - Mrs Clowes. The records state that the Queen wore white gloves that she didn't take off even when she ate her cucumber sandwiches! The Wedding Ideas magazine publication will be released nationally on the 1st December 2010.
Its Black and White

New development in the gardens is nearing completion
During the quieter autumn months we have been undertaking a large landscaping project in the gardens. Hundreds of square meters of stone is being laid for ease of walking in the main areas of the garden and the whole upper terrace of the gardens is levelled and customised to host marquee events for up to 450 guests. Also being installed is a state of the art outdoor lighting system out in the gardens; this means that all the colours of the rainbow can be adjusted to suit the event that you are planning. This work will be fully complete by February in readiness for when the weather picks up. Please contact Edward to find out how Burton Court can host your large party requirements.
